Music Director Kevin Zakresky leads from the organ AND the harpsichord for this special BAROQUE Lessons and Carols Service.

Featuring works from Bach's Christmas Oratorio and Handel's Messiah, the choir will also lead in all of your favourite Advent and Christmas Carols.

JEFF PELLETIER, flute, has appeared in concerts and as a soloist throughout the US and Canada. In addition to being the founder and artistic director of the wind quintet Ventos, Jeff Pelletier is solo flutist with the award winning group Winter Harp, second flute/piccolo with the Kamloops Symphony and Plastic Acid Orchestra, flutist with the Erato Ensemble and performs regularly with his flute, clarinet and piano trio -- Trio Primario. Jeff holds an Artist Diploma from the University of British Columbia where he studied with flutist Lorna McGhee, principal flutist with the Pittsburgh Symphony as well as previous studies with Julius Baker, former principal flutist with the New York Philharmonic.
COLIN MILES plays viola da gamba and viola, professionally and for pleasure. He has played viola in the Vancouver Opera orchestra since its inception. He retired after 31 years as Regional Director of the Canadian Music Centre, promoting the music of Canada's composers . A passionate advocate of the arts, he led the campaign to try to save the CBC Radio Orchestra, and received the Mayor’s Arts Award for Music in 2009. He commissioned Vancouver luthiers Anton Smith and Ken Millard to craft his bass viola da gamba and bow. He and his wife Winnie Nowell host chamber music gatherings and fundraising concerts in their beautiful new music room. Colin will be playing continuo with Kevin Zakresky in the baroque opera Venus and Adonis by John Blow in January.
