Artifacts from Jerusalem

We had an exciting experience last Sunday during our Godly Play Storytime as UBC Archaeologist, Lisa Cooper brought in Jerusalem-found artifacts. These items were found around the time of Christ and included oil lamps, a perfume bottle and a small dish.

The kids were very curious and engaged, asking lots of questions as she gave details about the artifacts.

Afterwards, we shared a feast of biblical inspired foods: olives, grapes, dates, figs, honeycomb, flatbread and apricot juice.

Lisa promises to be back with more interesting artifacts and we are looking forward to it.
