Join us this Sunday, July 14th, at our 10am Service for inspiring worship and preaching, and some wonderful music from mezzo-soprano Yenny Lee!

Our special guests this Sunday will be a number of delegates to the General Synod of The Anglican Church of Canada meeting this week in Vancouver.

There's a barbecue lunch after the service and all are welcome! Hope you can come.

 

YEEUN YENNY LEE, MEZZ0-SOPRANO

Mezzo-soprano Yeeun Yenny Lee is a first-year master student at the University of British Columbia, studying with Dale Throness. She won the first place in the Vancouver International Music Competition and received the Encouragement award in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Audition Western Canada district. She placed 2nd with pianist, Emily Logan, in the Inaugural VWMS Art Song Competition.

She performed in various productions with UBC Opera including Rosette from Manon, Hermia from A Midsummernight’s Dream, Mother from The Consul and Olga from Eugene Onegin. In July 2017 she traveled to Prague, Czech Republic to perform Il Barbiere di Siviglia as a role of Rosina with European Music Academy, and in July 2018 she went back to Czech Republic to perform Isabella from L’italiana in Algeri. She performed as a mezzo soloist in Bach Mass in G minor with UBC Baroque Mentorship Orchestra and St. John Passion with UBC Symphony Orchestra. In February 2019, she sang a role of Dritte Dame from Die Zauberflöte with UBC Opera.
