Emilia Boronco was born in Slovakia and began playing and performing music at the age of 5. She comes from a musical family and she has always been surrounded by music. Her father is a professional violin player and all her three siblings are professional musicians. Emilia completed her studies and received her degree at the Conservatory of Music in Banska Bystrica, Slovakia in Liturgical Music. She also has a Master degree in music education and doctorate degree in music pedagogy from Matej Bel University in Banska Bystrica, Slovakia. Emilia performed with many different choirs as a singer, conductor, and accompanist in many countries over Europe – Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Germany, and England. After finishing her University studies, she moved to Canada in 2004. Since moving to Canada Emilia worked as music educator at the elementary and high school level, as well as a music director leading liturgical music. She is an accomplished conductor, accompanist, and organist.
